Spring

Start the day with a hearty breakfast at Jillian’s or Once in a Blue Moon (Princeton)

Midmorning walk: discover the small town charm of our historical downtowns and unique stores.

Tour the local Historical Society and learn about our past.

Lunch at Las Brasas Mexican Grill (Berlin) or Knuth Brewing Company (Ripon).

Afternoon walk through Hammer’s Trail at the Green Lake Conference Center (GL).

Round of golf at Tuscumbia.

Dinner at 680 North (GL)

After dinner show at the historic Thrasher Opera House (GL).

Summer

Gourmet coffee and freshly baked muffins at Sassafras (GL) or Mugs (Ripon).

Take to the lakes or rivers to kayak, canoe, boat, fish, paddleboard or ski.

The Berlin Aquatic Center guarantees a day of fun for the little ones, or spend the morning picking strawberries, raspberries, corn, or peas at Prellwitz Farms (Ripon).

Visit the local library and partake in their wonderful summer programs.

Lunch outdoors at Lawsonia’s Langford Pub (GL), or a picnic at our local parks.

Afternoon hike/bike one of the trails (map pg. 20 of the GLCVB Visitors Guide), visit the Green Lake Farmer's Market

Stop at Vines & Rushes Winery for an afternoon wine tasting or yoga in the vineyards.


Dine at Bellisimo (Berlin), Goose Blind (GL) or any of our local restaurants ("Dining" tab).

Wrap up the day with a merited evening ice cream at one of the many parlors (see ice cream parlors under "Dining").

Fall

After the chocolate chip pancakes at The Little Corporal (GL), visit the Green Lake Conference Center and take in the fall colors. Stop by World Wide Gifts for that unique gift to take home

Grab an espresso at Twister’s (Princeton) and find a unique gift at Shops of Water Street, the Flea Market (Saturday’s) or at their local antique and vintage stores.

Birdwatchers can observe resident and migrant birds making their way through our area at Sunnyside Conservancy, Norwegian Bay Boardwalk or Snake Creek Wetlands

Lunch at a neighboring community (see Dining tab) and visit the historical down-town area.

Enjoy a hearty meal at J’s BBQ (Ripon)

Winter

With a hearty breakfast with the kids at Berlin's Family Restaurant (Berlin), grab a sled and head over to Zobel Park.

Skating rinks at the Green Lake Marina or Ripon’s Village Green are also great places to enjoy a winter morning outdoors followed by a hot chocolate.

Snow-shoe or cross country ski at the GL Conference Center or Mecan River Outfitters (Princeton), both offer groomed trails and rental equipment.

Refuel with lunch next to the fireplace at 680 North (overlooking the snow covered links of the Tuscumbia Golf Course).

Enjoy a warm cappuccino at any of our local coffee shops, or visit the library for some relaxing "edutainment"
