The deVillebillies at Deacon Mills Park Starlight Stage - Green Lake

Country music just isn't country anymore.  Gone are the drinkin' and cheatin' songs that made this America's music.  Now you have an alternative:
The deVillebillies were conceived after an all night Old Milwaukee party on the dilapidated redwood deck of an Airstream trailer.  Stroke of genius, or just another drunken idea?  Either way, this ain't your Daddy's Caddy.  Realizing that most top 40 cover bands made better tranquilizers than roadhouse rockers, the deVillebillies decided to add a little turbo to the twang.  Playing to capacity crowds of 30+ people nightly while honing their skills in the tough honky tonks of Nashvegas, the deVillebillies soon found their $200 pay for the night wouldn't cover their $300 bar bill.  So, they cashed in the aluminum cans laying around their yards, and bought a '23 Olds truck to hit the road & play REAL country music at a honky tonk, roadhouse, or festival near you.  So as long as the beer keeps flowing, the truck keeps running, and people like you want to hear REAL music made by REAL people, dVb will be bringing the trailer park party to you. The deVillebillies self-titled debut CD has gotten radio airplay from Chicago to Australia, and on the internet.

The Concert in the Park begins Wednesday evening in Deacon Mills Park at 6:30 pm. So come and gather in front of the Starlite Stage for two hours of live music. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy the live music!

Pat McCurdy at Deacon Mills Park Starlight Stage

"We could call it cabaret, but cabaret can be so precious," says Milwaukee musician Pat McCurdy of his semi-legendary live act. "We think of it as musical comedy, or an interactive whatever. It's more like a meeting with friends."

Pat McCurdy is a singer-songwriter with an unusual off-beat sense of humor. A favorite of the college crowd, this national performer is known for his comic lyrics and hilarious observations on life, love and “Vacation with Mom & Dad.”

McCurdy's shows are an indescribable blend of standup comedy, barb-tinged folk and audience participation. He has been known to distribute Swedish fish to audience members (on Treat Nights) or to invite fans onstage (on Amateur Nights), all the while expounding on everything from Chekhov to "Seinfeld" to the Christian Coalition. (Chicago Tribune)
