Septemberfest 2009...Oktoberfest with a twist!
Saturday, September 19 - 9 am-5 pm
Historic Downtown Ripon
This unique Fall festival in Historic Downtown Ripon has something for everyone! The fun begins with the Watson Street Custom Car Show where car collectors in 15 different classes showcase their vehicles. If you love animals, you'll love participating in or watching the annual Pet Parade & Show. Entertainment throughout the day includes The Britins (Beatles tribute band), Mecan River Ramblers, cloggers, square dancers, The New Tuba Dan Band and more. Fun activities for kids and adults include a cookie tossing event, where winners could win a one of a kind "I Tossed My Cookies in Ripon, WI" t-shirt, a lip synch competition, and a variety of children's activities sponsored by Ripon area Girl Scouts. For the taste buds there will be chili, pizza by the slice, kettle corn, cotton candy and more! To cap off the day of fun come help Ripon attempt to break the world record for the most people doing the twist at the same time while the Britins play "Twist and Shout". There's plenty of fun for everyone at Septemberfest!
